Following a tweet teasing fans of possible Steam release for Danganronpa, Spike Chunsoft has today confirmed that Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc will be released on Steam this Friday.

The Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc Steam page is available now online. The Steam release will feature Steam achievements and Steam Cloud with plans for Steam Trading cards, the game will include both full English and Japanese audio with English subtitles, and a bonus soundtrack “16-track OST “Despair in Stereo”” if you pre-purchase the game.

Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc is a twisted murder mystery visual novel that was originally released in Japan for the PlayStation Portable in November 2010 and for iOS and Android in August 2012. The game eventually made its way to Europe and North America when NIS America brought the game to the PlayStation Vita in February 2014.

Following its release Danganronpa: Trigger Happy Havoc garnered a lot of praise from both reviewers and fans alike, our own review of the game praised how the “mystery left me wanting to play more and more”. Danganronpa’s popularity saw the game receive two manga adaptations, novels, television anime and two follow-up games with a third currently in development.
