Tales of Zestiria PC specs & PS4 info revealed
Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed information regarding the system specs for both the PC and PlayStation 4 versions of Tales of Zestiria.
The info, which was released via a blog post by the game’s community manager, revealed that both the PC and PS4 version will run at 1920×1080 resolution with PC supporting resolutions up to 4K. The draw distance of both the PS4 & PC version will have a draw distance of 2x times that of the PS3 version, the PC version will have an addition “far” option to improve the draw distance even more. Shadows, anti-aliasing and textures will also get an upgrade, but the post didn’t specify how. The PC version will also feature a low, medium and high set of graphics options.
For those curious about the game’s frame rate, the post states the game will be locked to a constant 30 frames per second. The post also explains why Tales of Zestiria will be running at the previously mentioned frame rate:
“Before you run off to the comment section, hear us out! The Tales of battle system has always been an integral part of the gameplay experience, and changing the framerate proved to have profound consequences on things like: animation, balance, difficulty, and overall fighting mechanics tuning. We do this in the best interest for the players’ experience!”
For those who are looking at playing the game on the PC, there was no news of the game’s recommended and minimum system requirements.
Tales of Zestiria will be available for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 on October 16th and for PC on October 20th.
