Final Fantasy VII Remake announced, first on PS4

18 years after its initial release on PlayStation it is time to return to the world of Final Fantasy VII as Sony and Square Enix stunned crowds the world over by announcing Final Fantasy VII Remake.

For years, fans had been screaming for a Final Fantasy VII remake, and despite Square Enix previously stating they would never create a FFVII remake, Final Fantasy VII Remake was revealed at Sony’s E3 2015 press conference. Sony also announced the game would be released first on PlayStation 4, which means the game could be released on Xbox One and PC.

While the news of a Final Fantasy VII Remake is amazing news, there is one downside and that is the game is likely several years away from release. I say that because of the following link from Square Enix’s official press release states “SQUARE ENIX announced that it has begun production on the full remake of FINAL FANTASY VII for the PlayStation4 computer entertainment system.”

In the end, I doubt fans will care that they have to wait a little bit long because now they know they will finally get to meet and control Cloud, Tifa, and all the other FFVII characters again.
