Well that is if a countdown timer on the official Fallout website is to be believed, a Fallout 4 announcement is right around the corner with countdown set to expire in less than 24 hours.

The Fallout website does not offer much apart from the message “Please stand by” and the above mentioned countdown timer. What strikes me as interesting is the timer is set to expire in 24-hours, as I would have thought they would it set for fourteen day, as Bethesda’s pre-E3 conference takes place on June 14 (June 15 for those in Europe). Therefore, this likely means it could be part of pre-hype ARG, similar to what Microsoft are doing with Halo 5’s “Hunt the Truth”, or another teaser image.

Long before today, Fallout 4 has been everybody’s lips as speculation regarding the game has been around for quite some time. Back in May of this year, a company listed Fallout 4 cinematic trailer on their LinkedIn page, in January 2014 an email hoax regarding Fallout 4 did the rounds, and back in December 2013 a fake Fallout 4 teaser website was released.

It seems like finally after all the years of crushing dreams, it seems like Fallout 4 might actually be officially announced this month.
