Get ready to live out your sadistic fantasies as Koei Tecmo has released a twisted trap filled trailer for Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess.

Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess is an updated version of Deception IV: Blood Ties, which was released last year for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. This new updated version will allow you to select two powerful children of the Devil, Laegrinna from Blood Ties, and Velgruirie, Laegrinna’s sister.

While these two are the main characters, Koei Tecmo has announced that players will be able to unlock characters from the previous Deception titles. According to Koei Tecmo, the requirement to unlock them is to defeat them in game. The following are the announced unlockable characters.

  • Millennia, the Clockwork Princess, who has been brainwashed since she was a child and made to hunt humans. As a result, Millennia never has any remorse or emotion over her actions. She has more stamina than the other characters and the power to use traps in rapid succession- after she powers them up.
  • Alllura, the Branded Princess, who was marked as a sacrifice for the Devil after being framed for killing her father. The brand on her arm allows her to automatically recover her stamina and to push enemies. She can also choose defensive abilities such as Recovery and Shock Wave.
  • Reina, the Tragic Princess, has been taken as a slave after her family was murdered on her 17th birthday. She is very agile, though not too strong, and has the unique ability to slow time and dodge enemy attacks.

From the above gameplay trailer is seems like anyone who enjoys the idea of adding dark humour to death may just enjoy the game.

Deception IV: The Nightmare Princess will be available July 17, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita.
