Ganondorf to be playable character in Hyrule Warriors

During this morning’s Hyrule Warriors Nintendo Direct broadcast Koei Tecmo Games revealed that Hyrule’s nemesis, Ganondorf will be a playable character in the upcoming Wii U exclusive, Hyrule Warriors.

Up until now, Ganondorf, who has being the primary villain of the majority of the Legend of Zelda games, has never being playable in any game set in the Legend of Zelda universe.

In his reveal trailer, Ganondorf dark nature has not changed as he and his attacks give of a deadly and evil glow.

Ganondorf now joins a big list of playable characters that include the likes of Link, Impa, Princess Zelda, Darunia and Lana.

Apart from revealing that Ganondorf will be playable, Koei Tecmo Games also revealed the Hyrule Warriors Limited Edition bundle. This limited edition bundle will include a physical copy of the game and a Hyrule Warriors scarf for players to wear. The scarf, which pays tribute to the scarf Link wears in Hyrule Warriors, the blue and orange-coloured neckwear comes complete with the symbol of the Triforce boldly emblazoned across its front.

In addition, it was revealed that the game will feature downloadable costume add-ons The first add-on called “Ganondorf Legacy Costume Set” will be available for free to all players who register their copy of Hyrule Warriors with Club Nintendo between 09:00 BST on 19th September 2014 and 22:59 BST on 17th October 2014.

Hyrule Warriors will be available for the Wii U on September 19th.
