Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment coming to Europe this July

On May 14, 2014 by Ash Meehan

Bandai Namco Games Europe has announced, via the EU PlayStation Blog, that they will be releasing the PS Vita title, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, across Europe this July.

In Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, players enter the world of SAO (Sword Art Online), a brand new VRMMO, but when it is time to log out you discover that the creator of the game has removed the ability to log out and trap the players inside the world. To make matters worse if you die in the game you die in real life, and the only way out is to beat the game.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment is based on the 2012 anime and on-going light novel series, Sword Art Online. As you play through the game you will encounter characters from the light novel, manga and anime.

According to the EU PlayStation Blog announcement, the game is designed to simulate an MMORG just like the one in the anime, this means you be able to team up ad-hoc with up to three other people.

Also, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment will include a HD version of Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, a game that was unreleased outside of Japan.
