Halo 5: Guardians announced, set for a fall 2015 release date
With E3 less than a month away, 343 Industries has officially announced the latest game in the Halo franchise, Halo 5: Guardians.
While 343 Industries gave away very little regarding the new Halo title, we do know that the game will be released on Xbox One in fall 2015. Apart from the announcement and release date, 343 Industries released a teaser image featuring what appears to be a female Spartan holding a battle rifle walking through a desert, while underneath the female Spartan is a mirrored image of Master Chief holding an assault rifle. While the image doesn’t reveal all that much about the game, the desert background is similar to the one shown in Halo teaser from E3 2013.
While 343 Industries didn’t reveal any information about what would be happening in the game, Bonnie Ross, General Manager at 343 Industries stated that the developers were attempting to make the game run at 60 fps and have dedicated servers:
“Making a “Halo” game that runs at 60 frames per second, on dedicated servers, with the scope, features and scale we’ve been dreaming of for more than a decade, is non-trivial. It’s a task that we, at 343 Industries, are taking very seriously to ensure we deliver the “Halo” game that fans deserve, and a game that is built from the ground up for Xbox One.”
