Final Fantasy XIV passes two million

On April 16, 2014 by Ash Meehan

Square Enix has today announced that the number of registered accounts for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn has exceeded two million worldwide. This announcement comes only a day after the game was released on the PlayStation 4.

It is difficult to imagine that after the terrible reception the original Final Fantasy XIV got in 2010, that four years later and a re-launch the game would be announcing such a feat. Today’s announcement says a lot about the dedication and work that Naoki Yoshida and his team put into transforming a game that was disliked by fans to a game that received high praise from fans.

Personally, I am happy to see the game is doing well as I still play and enjoy Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is a pay to play MMORPG for PC, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.
