EA’s Peter Moore apologises for Frostbite’s April Fools jokes
EA COO Peter Moore took to twitter to apologise for Frostbite’s “stupid” April fools twitter jokes that made fun of Nintendo’s Wii U.
On a statement on Twitter Peter Moore said the following:
Our apologies to partners @NintendoAmerica & fan @FrostbiteEngine ’s poor attempt at April Fools not condoned by EA : unacceptable/ stupid

The now deleted tweets by the official twitter of DICE’s Frostbite engine poked fun at the lack of third party exclusives of the Wii U, joked that Half Life 3 would use the Frostbite engine and would be a Wii U exclusive and joked that they fixed the netcode issue with their engine.
Thankfully Kotaku saved all the tweets before they were deleted. The now deleted tweets said the following:
Frostbite now runs on the #WiiU since it is the most powerful Gen4 platform, our renderer is now optimized for Mario and Zelda.
— FrostbiteEngine (@FrostbiteEngine) April 1, 2014Frostbite will power #HalfLife3, coming out summer 2014! #WiiU exclusive.
— FrostbiteEngine (@FrostbiteEngine) April 1, 2014Good news, we have finally fixed and optimized our ‘netcode’. Uses quantum entanglement for Zero Latency connections. Exclusively on #WiiU.

In terms of April fools jokes Frostbite really was scraping the bottom of the barrel.
