Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd to get western release

On March 25, 2014 by Aaron Meehan

Some great news for fans of the digital star, Hatsune Miku, as Sega has announced that the rhythm game Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd, for PS3 and PS Vita will be released in Europe and North America this fall.

It seems Hatsune Miku’s first step into the western video game market with last year’s PS3 title, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F and later Vita version of the same game were a success. Because not only are we in the west getting a new Hatsune Miku game, but according to today’s announcement both versions will be getting a boxed release, the first PS3 version of the first Project Diva F game did receive a boxed released, but that was only in North America.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd will feature 40 songs from Hatsune Miku and her fellow Vocaloid stars. The songs will be a mixture of old hits like my personal favourite “World is Mine” and present day hits such as “Glory 3usi9”. Besides the songs the rhythm game will include an improved edit mode, this mode allows you to create your own video and rhythm games using all of the in-game assets.

While the above trailer says Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F 2nd will be released this fall the announcement blog article states 2014. I guess we will have to wait until E3 to find out more about the game and a more accurate release date.
