Become Captain Price in the latest round of COD: Ghosts micro items

On February 13, 2014 by Aaron Meehan

Infinity Ward has revealed a slew of new micropayment items for Call of Duty: Ghosts, one of which is the ability to make your MP look like Captain Price from Modern Warfare.

The new micropayment items, which will be released first on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One versions of Call of Duty: Ghosts next Tuesday will include: three personalization packs, four special character skins, extra slots pack, and the Captain Price Legend Pack.

The Personalization Packs will each include a themed weapon camo, reticule, patch, player card, and background for $1.99 per pack. The three upcoming packs are called Space Cats, Ducky, Inferno and Circuit.

Want your multiplayer character to look like one of the Ghosts from the single player campaign? Well now you can with the four new special character skins. The four new skins include: Keegan, Merrick, Elias, and Hesh. Each character will cost $1.99.

Next up is the Captain Price Legend Pack. In this pack you can turn you multiplayer character into the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare star Captain Price. In addition, the pack includes a personalization pack with Captain Price themed weapon camo, reticule, patch, player card, and background. The Captain Price Legend Pack will cost $3.99.

Lastly we have the Extra Slots Pack; the pack will allow you to increase your loadout slots from six to ten. The Extra Slots Pack will cost $1.99.

For the life of me I can’t understand these micropayments especially the Space Cats Personalization Pack, I honestly don’t know who in their right mind would pay $1.99 for it. Personally I don’t really see why Activision and Infinity Ward need to add these micropayments into Ghosts, the game sold incredibly well and they have their overpriced map packs, the first of which has recently gone on sale. Personally I’m not adverse to the idea of micropayments, but I feel they should not be in a buy to play game, just leave them in the free to play space.
