During today’s Nintendo Direct video, Nintendo announced that they have teamed up with Tecmo Koei to develop a new Zelda game called, Hyrule Warriors (name not final). The game will be released on the Wii U in 2014.

There is very little information regarding the game, but from the above tease trailer it seems the game will be similar to Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warrior series.

Honestly, this new Zelda announcement has increased my interest in the Wii U. It will be interesting to see if 2014 will be the year that Nintendo gets me to buy one of their consoles again.
