Final fantasy VIII released on Steam

Square Enix has today released their popular RPG, Final Fantasy VIII on the PC digital download store, Steam for €12.99/£9.99/$11.99. The Steam version contains a whole host of new Steam features.

The new Steam features include: full steam integration, Magic Booster enabling players to increase their inventory of spells, Steam cloud support, and 45 integrated achievements. Also Chocobo World will be included in the game; this feature was previously unavailable to Western players on the original release.

Final Fantasy VIII was originally released on the PlayStation in 1999. FFVIII quickly became the fastest-selling Final Fantasy title up until Final Fantasy XIII, with more than 8.5 million copies sold worldwide.
