Final Fantasy X|X-2 HD Remaster will see the classic PS2 games, Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 return in glorious HD for the PlayStation 3. Players will once again be able to follow Tidus and Yuna as they attempt to save Spira from Sin.
Apart from the HD makeover, the PS3 game will include various improvements, which include:
- International Editions of Both Games – The International version of FINAL FANTASY X-2 makes its way outside Japan for the first time ever, with a host of additional content not included in the original!
- Updated Soundtrack – Over 60 tracks from the original FINAL FANTASY X soundtrack are rearranged or remastered in HD audio!
- Full Trophy Support – Full PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita Trophy support is included, for each title.
- Cross-Save Support – Continue playing the same game across each of the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita versions, by saving your data to the PlayStation Network (this feature requires both versions of the game).
On launch fans will have a choice of one of two editions, a standard edition and a special limited edition, which includes a 48-page artbook, commentary from the original FFX and FFX-2 development team, and a special message from Producer Yoshinori Kitase. If you aren’t a fan of physical media, you can buy a digital version of the game via the PS Store.
For those wondering about the PS Vita version, Square Enix has promised to reveal more information at a later date.
