Idea Factory, the developers of various Japanese games which include the Hyperdimension Neptunia and Record of Agarest War series, have established a new western branch called Idea Factory International, in California, USA.

The new branch which is headed by CEO, Harusato Akenaga will focus on increasing the volume of various content, this includes: video games, animation and social apps. Idea Factory have stated that the new branch will focus on both North American and European regions. “Idea Factory International, Inc. intends to focus on providing general and overall information regarding such Idea Factory properties to North American and European fans, as well as strengthen the Idea Factory brand around the globe.”

An Idea Factory International website has being launched, but since it is a soft launch there is no information available. There are two companies which under the Idea Factory group and they are Compile Heart and Design Factory. Compile Heart like their parent company develop and publish Japanese video games.

Up until this announcement, games developed under the Idea Factory group have being published in Western markets by a third party. This includes NIS America who publish the Hyperdimension Neptunia series in both North America and Europe. At present it is not known if third party companies will continue to publish Idea Factory games in western markets or if Idea Factory will publish the games themselves via their new western branch, Idea Factory International.
