Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn goes back on sale

Square Enix has announced that they have resumed digital sales of the PS3 and PC versions of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Sales of FFXIV: ARR were originally suspended on August 28th.

When MMORPG was originally launched on August 27th, there was a huge demand for the game. This demand while usually a good sign for any game caused widespread server issue as the servers couldn’t seem to handle the strain. To combat this issue Square Enix decided to suspend the digital sales and downloads of PC and PS3 versions Final Fantasy XIV on August 28th.

After three weeks of work which involved: increasing the number of servers for players worldwide, the capacity of players per World and the number of concurrent players. Square Enix are now confident that the game is ready to take on more players.
