Neverwinter expansion to be released next month, details of Feywild packs also revealed

On July 16, 2013 by Ash Meehan

Perfect World Entertainment has announced that the Neverwinter expansion, Fury of the Feywild will be released on August 22nd. Details of the two Feywild packs have also being revealed.

The two Feywild packs are called: Knight of the Feywild Pack and Feywild Starter Pack. These packs are similar to the Neverwinter packs which have been available for some time now. The two packs will be vastly different with the Knight pack offering a host of unique items which include a brand new playable race ‘Moon Elf’. The content of both packs are as follows:

Knight of the Feywild Pack ($59.99 USD):

  • Unique ‘Moon Elf’ Race
  • Unique ‘Dawn Unicorn’ Mount
  • Unique ‘Sylph Companion’
  • New Moonsilver Regalia Fashion Set
  • Loamweave Enchantment
  • Stone of Earth
  • Unique ‘Knight of the Feywild’ In-game Title
  • One Extra Character Slot
  • Adventurer’s Helper Pack, containing Six Different Types of In-game Items
  • 600,000 Astral Diamonds, an In-game Currency

Feywild Starter Pack ($19.99 USD):

  • Unique ‘Portal Hound’ Companion
  • Feywild Hunter’s Ring
  • Fine Elven Silk Bag
  • Adventurer’s Helper Pack, containing Six Different Types of In-game Items

Perfect World Entertainment has released a short video showing off the content of the new packs.

There is a vast difference when it comes to the pricing, with the Knight pack costing $59.99 and the starter pack costing only $19.99. For the most part the packs seem relatively decent, there could be some argument made that they could be unfair or pay to win. The only issue I see is a unique companion which would give players a good advantage when levelling at low levels.

The Fury of the Feywild expansion will include: a new zone called Sharandar, companion upgrade, campaign system, 3D editor, two new professions in the form of weaponsmithing and artifcing, two new races, the moon and sum elves, Feywild gear, and red caps and Fomorians.
