Third Call of Duty Black Op II content pack to be released on July 2nd

On June 20, 2013 by Aaron Meehan

Activision has announced that the third Call of Duty: Black Ops II content pack, Vengeance, will be released first on Xbox Live of the Xbox 360 on July 2nd.

Vengeance will feature four new maps: Cove, Detour, Rush and Uplink. Vengeance will also feature a new zombie map called Buried, the new map which features the Ray Gun Mark II.

Cove, is a small, forgotten island in the middle of the Indian Ocean, with players battling it out amongst the wreckage of a jet that crash-landed during a smuggling operation gone wrong.

Detour, is a destroyed suspension bridge, high above an East Coast waterway, packed with scattered vehicles, exposed iron and collapsed pavement where the head-to-head action will play out on multiple levels.

Rush, sets the stage for fast, close-quarters engagements in this paintball course turned full-combat arena, giving players new opportunities and challenges to use the cover to their advantage.

Uplink is a re-imaging of the Call of Duty Black Ops map, Summit. Players clash deep in the rain-soaked jungles of Myanmar, high atop a hi-tech mountain facility.

In the new zombie map Buried, players meet up with old characters and will encounter new ones as they face off against the undead residents of an abandoned underground Old West mining town. When you purchase this map pack you will be able to use the DLC gun, Ray Gun Mark II on Buried and all other Black Ops II zombie maps.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II Vengeance will be available first on Xbox Live for the Xbox 360 for 1,200 Microsoft Points on July 2nd.
