Sony Online Entertainment has today announced that their free to play MMOs PlanetSide 2 and DC Universe Online will be released on the PlayStation 4.

To celebrate this announcement, SOE has released a PS4 announcement trailer for both games.

For those who don’t know anything about these games. PlanetSide 2 is a MMOFPS where three factions fight for control of the planet Auraxis. DC Universe Online is a super-powered based MMO set in the DC Universe.

In today’s announcement John Smedley, President, Sony Online Entertainment said the following.

“Since the launch of the original EverQuest, we have pioneered major shifts in the development of MMOs and videogames as a whole, and now we’re bringing our titles to the forefront of next-gen gaming,”

We are thrilled to bring two of our most popular free-to-play games to PS4.”
