EA has announced that The Sims 4 is currently in development at The Sims Studio. The new Sims games will be released on PC and Mac in 2014.

Not that much information was dropped concerning the game. However EA pointed out that the game would offer a single-player offline experience. This was most likely mentioned after the whole Sim City always on fiasco. EA also stated how The Sims 4 will give players a deeper connection with their Sims.

The Sims 4 encourages players to personalize their world with new and intuitive tools while offering them the ability to effortlessly share their creativity with friends and fans.”

The Sims is an immensely popular simulation game with series selling more than 150 million copies worldwide. However EA do have a tendency to milk the series, as you can see with the nine expansion packs release for The Sims 3.
