Black Rock Shooter: The Game to hit the PlayStation Store this month

NIS America has announced that Black Rock Shooter: The Game will be released on PSP via the PlayStation Store on April 23 and April 24.

Black Rock Shooter: The Game is set in 2032 AD—Earth has been ruthlessly assaulted by extraterrestrials, and nineteen years of nonstop battle now threatens the very existence of humanity. The last hope for human survival is BRS, a heroine created solely to save planet Earth; she is the ultimate battle android. But when she is awakened to end the battle once and for all, there are only twelve human beings left on Earth…

Black Rock Shooter: The Game is based on the character created by illustrator Ryohei “Huke” Fuke in late 2007. The character illustration later featured in the song Black Rock Shooter by Supercell, which was sung by the virtual singer, Hatsune Miku in July 2008. Black Rock Shooter also became a 50 minute original video animation in 2010. Lastly in 2012, Black Rock Shooter stared in the eight episode anime series, Black Rock Shooter.

Black Rock Shooter: The Game which was originally announced in 2011, will be available on PSP via the PS Store on April 23 in the US and April 24 in Europe. The game will not be available on PSN in Canada, Mexico, and selected countries in Europe.
