Black Ops 2 second DLC, Uprising available for Xbox 360 later this month

On April 4, 2013 by Ash Meehan

Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 DLC, Uprising, will be released on Xbox Live on April 16, 2013.

The upcoming DLC will feature four new maps and a new zombie experience called “Mob of the Dead”.

The four new maps are: Magma, Encore, Vertigo and Studio. Here is how Activision and Treyarch have described each of the new multiplayer maps:

“Magma” is a modern Japanese village with volcanic eruptions carving multiple paths throughout the town. “Encore” takes place in the aftermath of a deserted London music festival and leaves numerous opportunities for run-and-gun, close quarters combat. “Vertigo” is a futuristic high rise in India housing a high-tech lab featuring dizzying vistas and multi-tiered pathways. Finally, “Studio” is a contemporary remake of “Firing Range,” a fan-favourite multiplayer map from the original Call of Duty: Black Ops. “Studio” is a Hollywood movie back lot with a variety of cinematic themes that range from Sci-Fi to the Old West.

The new zombie mode, Mob of the Dead, takes players to Alcatraz with you and three others fighting off waves of enemies with four prohibition-era mobsters, Billy Handsome (Liotta), Al “The Weasel” Arlington (Pantoliano), Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca (Palmentiri), and Michael “Finn” O’Leary (Madsen).

Uprising will be available on Xbox Live for 1,200 Microsoft point on April 16. There is no release date as of yet for the PC and PlayStation 3 versions of Uprising.
