Metal Gear Solid V officially revealed

On March 27, 2013 by Aaron Meehan

At the Game Developers Conference, the head of Kojima Production, Hideo Kojima officially revealed that the mysterious game The Phantom Pain is Metal Gear Solid V.

The Phantom Pain which was revealed at last year’s Spike Video Game Awards was wildly speculated to be a Metal Gear game, but now all this speculation can be put to bed as The Phantom Pain’s full title is: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain.

There isn’t a whole lot of information to go on about Metal Gear Solid V, but according to the GDC 2013 trailer. There will be a new Snake, previously announced Metal Gear Solid game, Ground Zeroes will be a part of Metal Gear Solid V. Check out the GDC 2013 trailer below.

I have to say from the trailer, Konami’s FOX engine looks mighty impressive.

Konami also released a collection of screenshots from the above trailer.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be available on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
