The voice behind Agent 47 has being revealed
IO Interactive has revealed that David Bateson will be reprising his role as the voice of Agent 47 in Hitman Absolution.
David Bateson has been the voice of Agent 47 since the Hitman series first game Hitman: Codename 47. Interestingly enough Bateson will not be the only actor who will be lending his skill to the assassin, William Mapother of LOST fame will be performing the motion capture work for Agent 47.
Speaking about the decision to return to Bateson after the studio earlier declared he wouldn’t be the voice of 47 in Hitman: Absolution, Brand Director Jon Brooke said “IO and Bateson have been bed fellows for over a decade and like all long running relationships sometimes absence makes the heart grow fonder. Looking back I think we were just playing hard to get.”
Hitman: Absolution will be available November 20, 2012 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
