Codemasters talks F1 2012 improvements
Today, Codemasters has released a new developer diary for F1 2012. The diary focuses on the improvements and changes they have made to game which include weather changes, changes to how the cars handle and more.
“The whole weather scenario system has really been refined this year,” said Paul Jeal, Game Director. “You’ll get weather fronts come in now and it could be raining at one section of the track but dry on another. So you get those moments where you’re not sure which tyres to be on and that really mixes up the racing.” Stephen Hood, Creative Director added, “If you want that FORMULA ONE experience, the stuff we’ve been doing in 2012 has moved on a whole new generation now.”
From the looks of things F1 2012 will be visually pretty stunning, but the real question is will these new changes bring more of a challenge to the game because I personally find the games to easy. I mean if I can win a race on medium difficulty with a Virgin Racing in F1 2011 you might want to add to the challenge in my opinion.
Also to get ready for the return of F1 after the summer break Codemasters has released some in-game screenshots of spa-francorchamps where the Belgian Grand Prix is due to take place this weekend.
F1 2012 will be available September 21, 2012 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
