League of Legends accounts compromised

On Friday Riot Games alerted people to the fact that several League of Legends accounts were compromised and advised people to change their password as soon as possible.

According to a news article on the official League of Legends website hackers gained access to certain personal player information in some EU West and EU Nordic and East databases.

The news article stated that information the hackers accessed included email address, encrypted account password, summoner name, date of birth, and some players had their first and last name and encrypted security question and answer hacked also.

The news article pointed out that payment and billing information were not breached by the hackers.
