A QA tester for Traveller’s Tales Games has posted a photo of an improved Wii U controller which depicts analog sticks and some buttons moved around.

According to gamesradar the much hated analog pads have been replaced with analog sticks which will likely smiles to potential Wii U users. The start and select buttons have been moved from the bottom of the controller to the right side of the controller. A new unknown square button has been added to the left of the screen and finally the controller has the Wii U name which could mean that Nintendo will not be changing the name like most people thought they would.

Nintendo have not said anything regarding the changes and as gamesradar said in their article “It’s possible that some of these differences will be specific to the dev unit, though they usually end up mirroring the final version quite closely.”

At E3 2011 I was lucky enough to get some hands on time with the Wii U and I personally enjoyed my experience, but the pads were annoying and felt restrictive especially in the shooter I was playing and so I personally am happy they have replaced the pads with analog sticks.
