Possible Elder Scrolls MMO to be revealed in May
According to Tom’s Guide an industry source has revealed to them that Bethesda is supposedly working on an Elder Scrolls MMO and that it is set to be announced in May 2012.
The source revealed that the MMO will be set several hundred years before any of the Elder Scrolls games. For those who are fans of Elder Scrolls Lore the MMO will likely take place during the “Second Era”.
The source also revealed that the game will also have three playable factions which are represented one of three animals: a lion, a dragon, and a bird of prey.
Tom’s Guide says the announcement will likely be announced in May 2012 and that it will have a presence at this year’s E3. The game will also make an appearance at Quakecon 2012 in August.
Tom’s Guide has backed up their story by pointing out ZeniMax and Bethesda have been working on a MMO following jobs listening on the ZeniMax site looking for people with MMO experience. From the jobs listening it is easy enough to tell that ZeniMax and Bethesda are working on a MMO, but in what universe the game will be based is unknown.
I’m sure there is a lot of speculation on whether they are developing an Elder Scrolls MMO, but I guess we will learn in May one way or another.
