Innova has announced that the first localised version of Lineage II will be German and that it will be released this spring. The localisation comes two months after launch of the European free to play was released.

Lineage II is being localised for several different stages, with care and attention given to each language, including native-language player support and community management. Before the German version of Lineage II is released Innova will be inviting players to beta test the localised version. The first phase of the beta testing is currently planned for March.

“We are really proud to announce the very first German version of this popular MMORPG, that offers such an amazing, vast world and gaming experience for both PvE (player versus environment) and PvP (player versus player) fans,” said Jens Schönherr, Head of German Community Management for Lineage II.

Lineage II will be localised into further languages throughout 2012.
