Nintendo President Satoru Iwata has announced that their new console the Wii U will be heading to USA, Europe, Australia and Europe before the end of 2012.

Iwata told Reuter “the Wii U would be launched in the United States, Europe, Australia and Japan for the year-end season.” Late 2012 could be a great decision by Nintendo as it will likely be close to Christmas and might be the number 1 present gamers want for Christmas.

I personally got to try out the Wii U at E3 2011 and found myself enjoying the experience, the large controller takes very little away in terms of combat it of course will likely take some getting used to especially for shooters. From my own experience it could sell well and it will also mean that out of the 3 big console makers Nintendo will be first company to enter the new console generation.
