Final Fantasy XII-2 sees the return of one of Final Fantasy’s most beloved creature called the Moogle and Square Enix has released a trailer showing off what your Moogle partner can do for you.

The moogle in FFXIII-2 is named Mog and it accompanies Serah on her adventure and offers several functions; the functions are designed to help give the player more variety and choice over their game experience.

Some of Mog’s functions include:

• Mog transforms into Serah’s weapon during combat.
• The Mog Clock allows the player to pick up bonuses, or penalties during battle.
• Serah’s companion (Noel) will also help players by finding lost artefacts, difficult to reach objects, and items hidden in time.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available for purchase on February 3, 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
