As of January 17 Cryptic Studios mmo Star Trek Online has gone free to play for new and existing customers. To go along with the release Cryptic have released a new trailer.

While Star Trek Online is free to play there is an option to continue paying a monthly fee for a gold subscription model which allows you to access more of the game compared to those who have a silver subscription which are those who do not pay a fee. The gold subscription will cost players $14.99 a month and if you bought the lifetime subscription for the game you will also have access to the gold subscription model.
