The beta testing weekend has been cancelled for this weekend by Bioware according to Community Manager Stephen Reid.

The beta testing weekends originally started last weekend and was supposedly a success which saw major goals been met and downtime was at a minimum. There was one issue which was a stuck database state but it was fixed.

The reason why this weekend’s beta testing was cancelled according to Stephen Reid was that “We have plenty of data to crunch, and decisions to make before we start things up again.” Stephen Reid also said that this weekend’s testing would see the next major new build, but the build won’t be ready for this weekend and they felt it would be unfair for new testers to download the current client and then have to re-download the new upcoming client.

Stephen also said that last weekend’s testing was a small scale event and from on the testing weekends will be getting bigger and bigger.

Stephen also reminded people that the beta weekends wouldn’t be happening every weekend and stated when it resumes more invites will go out.

  • I wondered where my invite was. Well, at least they are trying to make it as perfect as possible, so thats a good sign to me :)

  • no way. it is going to suck harder than anyone could imagine. they can make small changes in the final run but what they really need is a timemachine to go back to 2004 to just create KOTOR 3! Have your fun MMO fools.
