Namco Bandai have today shown off gameplay for the online multiplayer mode “Capital Conquest” which sees 1 team try to take control of famous capitals and the other team defending the capital.

The trailer shows how bombes, fighters and helicopters can all be utilised by the defenders and attackers which may make for some fun matches. The trailer also shows off the customisation of planes which is the ability to change the colours of the planes and the smoke trails from your missiles.

From playing the demo so far it looks like it may be an interesting game, but personally I am not a fan of the helicopter with controls seeming stiff and with a separate controller button setup it means you have to be aware of what you are doing more. Also thinking about the helicopters controls I say any good player in a fighter would destroy a lot of helicopters.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon is due out October 14, 2011 for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
