Rockstar will not publish next Team Bondi game
Well after the revelation that the Team Bondi higher ups introduced extreme policies on overtime, pay freezes and crunching via a leaked internal email, Rockstar have decided not to publish Team Bondi’s next game.
Rockstar started working with Team Bondi back in 2006 which saw Rockstar publish LA Noire which saw release earlier this year. But all was not smooth sailing with the 2 companies as Rockstar sent some of their developers over to help complete the much delayed game, cracks appeared on the 2 sides as Rockstar began to get annoyed with the creative direction of Team Bondi and Team Bondi began resenting how Rockstar treated them in the way of creative control on the project.
Reports on the frustration was kept under raps but an email by Brendan McNamara to a designer in the company was accidentally sent through out the company which said.
“Every dog has its day and there’s going to be hell to pay for this one, I’ll never forget being treated like an absolute **** by these people.”
Well it seems Brendan has got his way because Rockstar wont be publishing for Team Bondi again.
But who was the enemy in this? Brendan made his team work under extreme policies which included pay freezes, but on the other hand Rockstar was beginning to take over Team Bondi’s work . I guess it really depends who you view who are the lesser of the 2 evils or maybe we should get Detective Phelps in on this one.
