Nintendo drop the price of the 3DS

Nintendo have announced a price drop for their latest handheld the “Nintendo 3DS”. The announcement comes after Nintendo recorded its first loss, this is likely to do with the high price of 3DS itself. So how much can we expect to pay for a 3DS now? Well in America the 3DS was released at a retail price of $249.99 and now it will be reduced to $169.99. This price drop will take place in America starting August 21. Europe will see a price drop of about a third and this will take effect on August 12. But for those who bought it before the price drop don’t fret.
For those who buy the game before the price drop will be classed as “Nintendo Ambassadors” and the owners will receive 20 free games in waves before the end of 2011. The first wave will start on September 1 and you can get 10 NES games for free which include Super Mario Bros, The Legend of Zelda, Donkey Kong Jr, etc.
The last 10 games have no release date but they will be 10 Gameboy Advance games which include Mario Kart: Super Circuit, Metroid Fusion, Mario vs Donkey Kong, etc.
