THQ have joined with Codemasters in a distribution deal with 4 of Codemasters games in North America for 2011, while THQ will be distributing these games Codemasters will still be the company responsible for marketing them.

At the announcement Tim Walsh Vice President of THQ Partners said

“Bringing together THQ’s world-class publishing and Codemasters’ highly acclaimed titles is a win-win situation for both companies, our goal is to offer Codemasters a custom distribution solution so they can outsource the functions they don’t need to own.”

Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens also threw in his words at the announcement by saying

“The THQ Partners initiative truly resonated with us, THQ stands as a publishing force in North America and provides us the mindshare, commitment and resources of their organization to successfully drive Codemasters products in this very important market.”

The following 4 games will be distributed by THQ:

• Dirt 3 which has being released as of yesterday in North America.
• Operation Flashpoint Red River which is due to be released on June 7th.
• Bodycount which is due to be released later this summer
• F1 2011 which is due for release on September 23rd
