New Nintendo console rumored to be shown at E3

On April 16, 2011 by Ash Meehan

Lately a rumor has being going around that Nintendo are set to reveal their new console at this years E3. The rumor mill for this supposed new console has started with the big games news companies having their say on what we could see.

GameInformer started it all of as the company who really broke the news by saying that the new console could see HD gaming come to console and it could see a 2012 release date.

Kotaku also have said they have heard that the machine could be more powerful than the Xbox 360 and PS3.

The biggest rumor was from French site 01net who have said the console is codenamed Project Café and saying the controller could have touch sensitive screen measuring 6 inches, features a front-facing camera and can double as a Wii Remote sensor bar. They took a look at what the hardware specs could be.

Personally I would have no idea on what Nintendo could possibly bring to their new console, but I would hope they would take a page from the 3DS and possibly bring some Augmented Reality love the the console market (a man can dream).

We are under 2 months away from E3 and the rumors are beginning to start on what could be seen and don’t forget to stay tuned to SGGamingInfo during E3 as we will be there looking at what the show has to offer and interviewing various people along the way.

  • Nintendo already said there would be no 3D with this next console, what ever that means. But on the bright side you might get a chance to test it out.
