The sequel to codemasters BAFTA award winning game F1 2010 has had a sequel announced which is F1 2011 (who would have guessed).

F1 2011 also has a release date set for the 24th of September 2011 on PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. 3DS and NGP versions will be coming soon.

In a press release Codemasters said that F1 2011 will be about:

Be the driver, live the life, go compete’, with wide-ranging technical and gameplay advancements on and off track and vastly extended competitive and co-operative multiplayer components.

Also Codemasters announced a competition where the winners would get a chance to play F1 2011 before anyone else and visit Codemasters Birmingham which are developing the game and appear in a future developers diary.
