Developers open SGR suggestion box

2 days ago Dark Comet Games and Firesky staff member Jonathan Beffel also known as Aoloebio created the thread called “SGR suggestion box”. The thread was created so that players of Stargate Resistance can tell the developers what they would like to see in the future of the game.

After only 2 days there has already being a huge response from the players and visitors of the Stargate Resistance forums.

Below is a list of the suggestions already made and how you can add your suggestions to the thread.

Suggestions made so far:

Subclasses of current classes.
Add Jaffa Anubis armor with a key to turn helmet on and off.
Add Red Serpent Guard armor for Jaffa.
Add SGC Camouflage armor sets.
Change domination buffs to be player selectable???
Add tactical advantage to groups of players who are not near spawn rooms???
Add Wraith faction (Queens, Males, Drones).
Add 1 more class per team.
Add customization options.

2 primary weapons, 1 secondary per class.
Reduce turret’s accuracy.
Right click function to roll smoke / shock grenades instead of toss.
Jaffa to hold staff higher for better shot placement.
Move weapon slots 3 & 4 for scientist to number three with left / right clicks.
Flashbang or concusion granades for soldier.
SGC Melee Knockback attack, knife or throwing knife.
Add rifle for Soldier.
Add c4 explosives.
Add Ashrak tracking devices.
Add forcefield traps deployable.
Add turret creation animation.
Jaffa shots stun target???

Increase max player counts on maps.
Increase round end score.
Bigger maps.
Add a Ha’tak map.
Add more flavor text for worlds in game to get more lore out of them.
Add in game tutorials for new players.
Add more destructible objects / environments.
Add more functionality to interactables rather than just being on them.
Add Gate dialing map.
Add pegasus galaxy locations (Hives, Atlantis, Midway, etc).
Add multiple gametypes to existing maps.

Add King of the Hill Gametype.
Interactable flags to be damaged / placed by teams for points in key locations.
Add ship to ship combat gametype / map.
Add stealth / espionage gametype.
Add survival mode.

User Interface:
Voice chat.
Persistent F.O.V. option.
Add friends list system.
Add options for 16:9 resolutions.
Add in game compass system for better team coordination.
Add chat filter options.
Add more vocal emotes.
Allow customizing of unused vocal emotes slots.
Add mini-map.
Add experience/rank meter.
Add your teams classes to the tab screen.

Private servers.
Add clientside server support.
Add more info when selecting servers(match overview, current domination standing, etc)
Add votekick ability.
Add end game kill cams.

Add 7.1 surround sound support.

Add usb controller support.
Add video recording support.
Add clientside map editor.
Add more functionality on the Launcher.exe.
In game stamina / hp regen pickups.
In game player rankings with stats.
In game lobby / chat system at galaxy map.
Add achievement titles.
Points earned in game can be utilized for purchasable stuff.

  • Actually I was playing SGR with a modded xbox controller just yesterday. Fact of the matter is it makes game play very daunting and difficult to say the least. Using Xpadder I am unable to use the left and right trigger so when I’m playing with the analog sticks I have to take one finger off to fire which either screws up my aiming or enables me to walk.

    Looking for a a way to get the triggers to work so if you have any suggestions email me.
