Square Enix has released a new trailer and details regarding the Final Fantasy XIV and Monster Hunter: World collaboration.

The Final Fantasy XIV event will the “King of the Skies”, Rathalos appear in Eorzea on August 7th and will be accessible to all those who completed the “Stormblood” main scenario quest. Players will fight Rathalos in both Normal and Extreme versions of “The Great Hunt” trial. The normal version will see eight players tackle the fierce beast, the extreme version will see four players fight the powerful beast.

Those who choose to take part in the event will be able to obtain a number of unique rewards. The rewards in question are:

• New Armor Set – design inspired by Rathalos
• New Minions – Poogie and Palico
• New Mount – Rathalos
• New Furnishing – BBQ Spit

The collaboration will also see Final Fantasy XIV’s Behemoth make its way to Capcom’s Monster Hunter: World. The Monster Hunter: World event will begin on August 2nd and those who take part will receive FFXIV Dragoon gear, the Palico Armour Set: Moogle, and Cactaurs.
