Xbox E3 2018 press conference reveals new Halo, Gears of War and more
Xbox fans clambering for exclusive titles were in for a good time as Microsoft revealed Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 4, Gears Tactics and Gears 5. While it was great to see new exclusives, only Forza Horizon 4 will be released this year on October 2, 2018. For those curious about the Xbox/W10 exclusive Crackdown 3, it has been delayed again until February 2019.
Besides the newly announced exclusives, Microsoft announced that they acquired five new studios: The Initiative, Playground Games (developers of Forza Horizon 4), Ninja Theory (developers of Hellblade), Undead Labs (developers of the State of Decay franchise) and Compulsion Games (developers of We Happy Few).
Outside of exclusives and acquiring studios, the Xbox press conference unveiled numerous highly anticipated games. The conference revealed, Devil May Cry 5 (Capcom), Dying Light 2 (Techland), Gears POP!, Jump Force (Bandai Namco Entertainment), Just Cause 4 (Square Enix), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice (Activision), Session (Crea-Ture Studios), Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition (Bandai Namco Entertainment), The Awesome Adventures of Captain Spirit (Square Enix), and Tom Clancy’s The Division (Ubisoft).
