En Masse Entertainment has announced that the open beta for TERA on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will begin on March 9th.

The open beta will run from March 9th at 2 pm UTC/GMT until March 12th at 7 am UTC/GMT. There is no word regarding any potential restrictions in content, but in the open beta press release, Matt Denomme, Sr. Product Manager at En Masse Entertainment does says, “We feel the results speak for themselves and we’re excited to get the game in the hands of players during our upcoming Open Beta event weekend. Consoles need a solid MMORPG and TERA is prepared to deliver.” It seems En Mass Entertainment has a degree of confidence going into the console beta, personally I am interested in seeing how well the game is optimised as the PC versions, which is currently live, does have major frame rate issues in the Velkia City (one of the capital) (my GTX 1070 struggles to hit 60). It really will be interesting to see if the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, Xbox One and Xbox One X will be able to provide a stable frame rate when playing TERA.
