Perfect World Entertainment that announced that the latest major Star Trek Online update, Season 11: New Dawn, will be released on October 27th.

This new season will leave the Iconian War, which ended in season 10, and see the MMO return to Star Treks more traditional route of making first contact with new species and investigated undiscovered parts of the Alpha Quadrant. Alongside the more traditional route, the season will allow players to delve into the Mirror universe and uncover their plots against the Prime Universe. Season 11 will also see a complete revamp to the Cardassian story arc.

Outside of story elements there will the Admiralty system, which according to a blog post on the STO website, “will also give players the opportunity to not only put players in charge of a fleet and truly feel like an admiral, but to also make use of all the ships they have in their inventory. The system provides a strategic and tactical ship command experience, as well as significant rewards for your efforts.”
