Soulcalibur II HD Online coming to consoles this autumn
Namco Bandai Games has announced they will be releasing Soulcalibur II HD Online this autumn for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 via digital stores. The game will include upgraded graphics and all-new online modes.
Online functionality is new to the game, with the original Soulcalibur II having no form of online support. According to the official announcement, the online infrastructure will be feature brand new netcode overseen by the Project SOUL development team. Apart from an online mode Soulcalibur II HD Online include modes from the original release, this includes: Arcade, Survival, VS Battle, Time Attack, Survival, Team Battle, Practice and Weapon Master.
“For the past 10 years, the SOULCALIBUR franchise has established itself as the best weapon-based fighting franchise for consoles,” said Olivier Comte, Senior Vice-President at NAMCO BANDAI Games Europe from the official press release. “SOULCALIBUR II HD Online will allow the fans to relive online this most beloved chapter of the series with new HD graphics.”
Soulcalibur II was originally released in 2003 for the GameCube, PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
