On August 14, 2012 by Ash Meehan

At this year’s Gamescom Capcom have officially announced their sci-fi mild altering game Remember Me. The game takes place in a cyber punk Paris where memory hunting is no longer fantasy, but a job.

Remember Me is a 3rd person action adventure where players take on the role of Nilin, a former elite memory hunter with the ability to break into people’s minds and steal or even alter their memories. The authorities, fearful of her knowledge and capabilities arrested Nilin and wiped her memory clean. After her escape from prison, Nilin sets out on a mission to recover her identity, helped by her last and only friend. This search for her past leads to her being hunted by the very people that created this surveillance society.

At Gamescom Capcom released 7 minutes of gameplay footage for the game. The gameplay shows off some of the various features of the game which includes stealing memories from people to help complete missions and more.

From the screenshots and video it does bring up memories of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Assassin’s Creed to name but a few.

Remember Me is being developed by DONTNOD Entertainment and will be released May 2013 for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
