Today 2K Games and Gearbox announced a return to Pandora by revealing Borderlands 2 is indeed in development after rumors started flying around earlier this week. Borderlands 2 according to the press release will feature new characters, skills, environments, enemies, weapons and equipment and it will be all in an ambitiously crafted story.
The first glimpse of Borderlands 2 will be this year at Gamescom 2011 which runs from August 17- August 21 and it will also appear at PAX Prime which runs from August 26 – August 28.

Borderlands 2 will be coming to PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and its release window is between April 2012 and April 2013. So there is some time to kill until it is released.
